Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a committed and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs in a nurturing and structured environment.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support with behaviour and emotional regulation. Your role will be key in helping students develop positive coping strategies, build resilience, and engage more effectively with their education.

The school provides tailored education for pupils with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Staff are passionate about creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in managing behaviour and emotional well being
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Implement and contribute to individual behaviour plans
• Promote a calm and positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN or SEMH setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and empathetic approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support (desirable but not essential)
