ESOL Teacher

This role is due to start on Monday 3rd June 2024

Monarch Education are currently working with an educational setting in Inverness, Scotland who are seeking a number of experienced Teachers/ Tutors to help support children and adults who have relocated to the UK from overseas. These refugees will require support with skills such as, learning the English language and basic academic essentials

• The roles are full time, Mon – Fri.
• Approximately 6 hours per day including admin time
• Start date: ASAP
• £20- £40 Per Hour Earnings

The ideal candidates will have prior experience working with children or adults to whom they have supported in teaching English as an additional language.

Qualifications such as TEFL or ESOL would be ideal, but not essential if you possess experience.

You would work alongside a team of individuals to provide emotional support and mentoring as well as basic academic support

Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering small group sessions
• Ensuring students are engaged
• Adapting to each groups abilities
• Making the environment a fun and happy place
• Providing feedback and assessments

• Previous experience tutoring children or adults
• Friendly, empathetic and motivating
• Attentive to needs of pupils
• Strong regard for pupil safety-and well being
• Caring, patient, and understanding
• Motivating with ability to engage pupils
• Good ability to manage behaviour
• Reliable and committed fully to each lesson assisted
