Reception Class Teaching Assistant - Welsh
A large Welsh medium primary school in Llanelli is looking to place a new teaching assistant in their reception class on a long term basis.
The role will be a general support role and you will be expected to provide support to small groups of pupils within the class on a daily basis. You will be led by an experienced class teacher and be given the opportunity to contribute to lesson delivery as well as be expected to assist in regular observations and assessments of pupils during activities.
The head teacher is looking for an individual with:
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Excellent communication skills through the medium of Welsh
- A good knowledge of the Foundation Phase curriculum
- A high standard of teaching and learning
It is desirable that applicants have a teaching assistant qualification but those who do not will still be considered based on their experience with primary aged children.
Start date: Immediately
Salary: £60-75 per day based on 6.5 hour day
