Pay: £80 - £100 a day

Are you passionate and motivated to make a difference to the lives of children who have experienced childhood trauma and have Social Emotional Mental Health needs?

Have you got experience working with children who have anxiety or other Social Emotional or Mental Health needs? Have you worked with Looked After Children (LAC) and those in the care system? Have you ever worked in a residential support worker role?

Monarch Education are honoured to work alongside a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities setting in the Birmingham and Black Country area. This role will be full time (Mon - Fri) from 8:15am - 3:30pm, term time only. However, the school will accept part-time hours for the right candidate.

The job…

Working in a small, bespoke school for 14 - 16 year old's who have a variety of social, emotional and mental health needs. Some have these needs as a result of experiencing early childhood trauma. You will support them with their academic work as well as helping them regulate their emotions. The school has high standards for their students and reward their hard work in the classroom with trips off site and fun activities catered to their interests.

The candidate needs to...

  • Have experience with SEND children or young adults with Social Emotional or Mental Health needs
  • Have a professional manner
  • Have a desire to help and nurture children
  • Provide references relevant to this chosen role
  • Build great relationships with staff and children
  • Be able to work on site and off site, managing behaviours in both areas
