SEND Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are currently working alongside an SEND Primary School in the Shirley area of Solihull to join their team ASAP until February half term, with potential of this role continuing until the end of the academic year 2024. This role is full time, 5 days a week.

Requirements of applicant:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • Able to promote an environment of acceptance and inclusion for all children

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care and support for children with a range of SEND
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities to promote learning and development
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines

Salary: £60 – 95 per day (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
