Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a Art and Design in the Bromford area to teach Art and Design in a Secondary school on a short term and long-term basis. Our client requires somebody that can immerse themselves in the school community and ethos, whilst ensuring a delivery of passion and excellence in the teaching and learning within the school. This vacancy is starting in January 2025 !

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned Art and design lessons
  • Teach variety of art techniques in alignment with the national curriculum
  • Tailor teaching approach to suit individual learning capacities
  • Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
  • Build relationships with staff and students
  • Encompass a flexible work attitude to align with the schools’ requirements

Qualifications/skills:

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS): Bachelor of Education/PGCE or an equivalent teaching degree.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education or related field.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with children and young adults
  • Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
