Position: Boarding House Worker

Hours: Unsociable hours, including weekends, working until midnight

As a House Parent at our esteemed boarding school, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and vibrant atmosphere for our students. You will help oversee the daily lives of students, providing pastoral care, support with academic progress, and ensuring the smooth running of the boarding house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during evening hours and weekends, ensuring their welfare and safety.
• Offer guidance and emotional support to students, addressing any concerns.
• Facilitate a positive living environment, encouraging personal growth and responsibility.
• Assist in organising evening and weekend activities.
• Maintain communication with parents, staff, and the leadership team.
• Oversee the housekeeping, ensuring that students maintain a clean and comfortable living space.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A compassionate and approachable individual with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young people (desirable).
• Able to work unsociable hours, including weekends, and remain available until midnight.
• A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential.
