Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Qualified Computer Science Teacher (QTS) to join a successful secondary school and sixth form in South Birmingham. This is a full-time, temporary position starting in September 2026, ideal for a teacher passionate about technology and digital innovation.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. The role offers the opportunity to inspire students in areas such as programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy within a supportive and forward-thinking department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons tailored to a range of abilities
- Teach topics such as programming, algorithms, and computer systems
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Contribute to departmental development and wider school activities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Specialism or strong experience teaching Computer Science
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
