Cover Supervisor

Location: Bury

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Term time only, 08:00 to 15:00 each day

Monarch Education is currently working with a school in Bury that is seeking a range of Cover Supervisors to join its teams!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity and consistency in students’ learning by overseeing classes when the regular teacher is absent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with UK classroom experience to broaden their skill set and make a difference in the lives of young people by helping them succeed in their studies.

We are seeking individuals with relevant UK-based experience working with children and young people. This does not necessarily need to be in a classroom setting, though it is preferred. This role would suit someone who is working towards their PGCE or looking to increase and broaden their existing experience.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have experience working with children and young people
  • A full enhanced DBS will be required. Monarch Education can support you in this if you do not already have one in place.
  • You must be confident in managing classroom behaviour, have a strong presence in the classroom, and follow the school behaviour policy to ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the confidence to keep students motivated and focused so they can work on the activities set for them.
  • Advanced understanding of national curriculum and other basic learning programmes/techniques – training can be provided on this through our Affinity Academy

Benefits of working with Monarch Education:

  • You will be paid a competitive daily wage based on your experience
  • Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions or concerns and to support your career plans in education
  • Fast, effective clearance service
  • Up to £200 for successful referral of other candidates
  • Training and CPD through our internal Affinity Academy; interactive free training from Educational Professionals
  • The option of working under a PAYE or Umbrella pay scheme

To be considered for this role, please click apply to send your CV and the Secondary Consultant will contact you to discuss further

Successful applicants will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive pre-employment checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
