We are collaborating with a school based in Kings Norton in search of an English Teacher. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans and marking. This is a long-term role starting in September 2024!

We are recruiting for a passionate and hard-working educator to add to a great supportive English department; We are looking for someone who is passionate about English and can motivate students to learn.

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach and assess GCSE English lessons
  • Tailor teaching approach to suit individual learning capacities
  • Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
  • Build relationships with staff and students
  • Manage teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Encompass a flexible work attitude to align with the schools’ requirements

Qualifications:

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS): Bachelor of Education/PGCE or an equivalent teaching degree.
  • Previous experience working with children and young adults
  • Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
  • Hold a DBS who is registered online with the DBS update service or be willing to apply for one
