About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school on a full-time, one-month supply contract. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who is available immediately and eager to inspire students in the fascinating world of food technology.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across key stages, ensuring that students develop a solid understanding of food production, nutrition, and design. You will also be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports the development of practical and theoretical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective food technology lessons across various year groups
  • Plan and prepare lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school’s objectives
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, ensuring students’ well-being
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Ensure that all practical activities are carried out safely and in line with health and safety guidelines

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at a secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
  • Strong knowledge of the food technology curriculum, including practical and theoretical aspects
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring students in the subject of food technology
  • Ability to adapt to a new environment quickly and effectively
