Food Technology Teacher

We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a mixed secondary school based in Bordesley Green. This is a full-time role starting in March, offering the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students in a Good rated school by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Develop students’ practical cooking skills and understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and food science.
• Support the school’s ethos of encouraging independence and responsibility in students.
• Maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment where students can excel.
• Assess and track students’ progress, providing feedback and support as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology.
• Passion for inspiring students to develop practical skills and an understanding of food.
• Ability to foster an environment of independence and responsibility.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (or a willingness to do so).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
