Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Northampton

Monarch Education are an Education Recruitment Agency who specialise in placing Teachers and Teaching Assistants in their ideal roles. Monarch Education are currently working alongside Primary Schools in the Northampton area to find a HLTA to start ASAP and to cover where needed.

The ideal candidate for this role will work independently providing Preparation, Planning and Assessment (PPA) cover with a significant commitment to whole class teaching and working collaboratively with class teachers to plan, teach and assess an innovative curriculum so all pupils may achieve success.

The candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

  • Prepare lessons with teachers, contributing to the planning cycle including evaluating and adjusting lessons in response to pupils’ needs.
  • Teach whole classes as part of PPA provision according to the PPA timetable. Also, to provide short-term cover within any age group in response to teacher absence.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback on lesson content, pupil responses to learning activities and pupil behaviour, to teachers and pupils in line with school policy.
  • Motivate and progress pupils’ learning following school policies and guidance from class teachers.

Salary: £100-£120 Per day

Your application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working an Education Setting.
