KS2 Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are currently seeking a passionate and committed General Teaching Assistant in the Blackpool (FY3) area to support Key Stage 2 aged pupils within an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School.
The Role:
* Full time, Monday to Friday commencing in January 2024
* Hours 8:30am – 3:30pm
* Classroom based, working within an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School
* Supporting pupils in KS2, based in a Year 4 classroom
* You will be upholding Safeguarding and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
* Support children with their learning, differentiating support methods to meet the needs of all pupils within the classroom
* Support the class teacher with lessons, managing pupil behaviour, upholding school ethos
* Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to individual needs.
* Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards.
* Be aware of pupil problems/progress/achievements and report to the teacher as agreed.
* Support pupils in respect of local and national learning strategies e.g. literacy, numeracy, as directed by the teacher.
* Assist with the supervision of pupils out of directed lesson time, including before and after school if appropriate and within working hours.
