A school in Moseley is seeking a highly organized and experienced Governors’ Administrator to join their vibrant school community and provide exceptional administrative support to the Governing Body.

About the Role:

In this crucial role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the Governing Body by providing comprehensive administrative support. You will attend meetings, meticulously minute proceedings, and maintain the confidentiality of all discussions and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Governor Meetings and Panel Hearings.
  • Minute and write up all Governor Committee and Subcommittee Meetings.
  • Record the attendance of Governors at meetings.
  • Minute and write up Panel Hearings.
  • Distribute draft minutes and action items promptly to Committee and Subcommittee Chairs after each meeting, ensuring corrections are incorporated.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the Governing Body and all committee documents.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities as required.
  • Undertake additional administrative tasks as directed by the Chair of Governors or the Headmistress.

Person Specification:

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience of minuting meetings is essential.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficient IT literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Sound understanding of confidentiality and cyber security principles.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding practices in a school environment.
