Music Cover Teacher

Area: Peterborough – PE7

Salary: £110 – £150 p/day (pay varies depending on qualifications)

Start date: As soon as possible

Monarch Education are looking for Music Cover Teacher to work Thursdays and Fridays in a Secondary school based in PE7. The candidate must be comfortable working with pupils aged 11-19.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have Teaching experience or references commenting on their experience as an Unqualified Teacher
  • Have a passion for Music
  • Be reliable and resilient
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support young adults
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be able to plan lessons thoroughly or follow other plans created by Teachers
  • Lead a class of 20-30 pupils
  • Work on a Thursday and Friday

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Managing difficult behaviours
  • Taking the register
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupil’s progress
