PPA Teacher

Monarch Education are working on behalf of a school in Swindon, who are currently looking to appoint a part-time PPA Teacher to cover across the school on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

You will be teaching mixed ability pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, delivering various subjects across the curriculum. The role is to start on Wednesday 22^nd Jan 2025. .

The ideal candidate will:

• QTS or QTLS
• Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils.
• Be highly organised with excellent communication skills.
• Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds.
• Have excellent behaviour management skills.
• Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

• Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
• Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning.
• Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
• Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
• Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
• Possible supervising on lunch and break times
• Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
• Building relationships with staff and pupils
• Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments.
• Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupil’s progress
• To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
• Potentially lead in a subject area
• Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers.
