Job Advert: Resource Provision Teacher – Monarch Education
Start Date: Easter 2025
Location: Whitefield, Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, until the end of the academic year)

Monarch Education is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate Resource Provision Teacher to lead and manage a resource provision for children with additional learning needs. This role is to cover from Easter until the end of the academic year, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of students in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role
As a Resource Provision Teacher, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the provision, working closely with the SENCO to ensure a tailored, high-quality educational experience for the children. The provision is made up of three classrooms, and students are grouped by their year group or key stage, ranging from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2.

The provision has a maximum capacity of 12 students, but not all children attend at the same time. You will be responsible for planning lessons and managing the classroom environment, with support from a team of 5 Teaching Assistants (TAs). While the SENCO will oversee the provision, you will lead the team of TAs to ensure the effective delivery of personalised learning for each child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the resource provision, ensuring a nurturing, effective, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Work closely with the SENCO to ensure the provision meets the individual needs of the students.
  • Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans to cater to a range of abilities, with particular attention to a non-verbal child who accesses education for 1.5 hours per day.
  • Lead and manage a team of 5 Teaching Assistants, ensuring they are supported and able to effectively implement the lesson plans.
  • Regularly assess and monitor the progress of each child in the provision and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes students’ personal and academic development.
  • Collaborate with parents and external agencies to ensure that the needs of all students are being met.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate teacher with a passion for working with children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a special educational needs (SEN) setting, ideally with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing a team of Teaching Assistants.
  • Have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt and differentiate lessons for a range of learning needs.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have a good understanding of current SEND legislation and best practices.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment within a well-established school.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
  • Full-time hours (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) from Easter until the end of the academic year.

If you are passionate about providing outstanding support for children with additional needs and would like to take on a rewarding leadership role, we would love to hear from you. Please apply today to join Monarch Education and make a difference!
