Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Daily Rate: £90 – £100 (Paid Weekly)

Training: Free Online Training Provided

About Us: Monarch Education are a dedicated agency supplying a special school located in Wheatley, committed to providing exceptional education and support to children with a variety of special needs. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students and we are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join us.

Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work on a 1-2-1 basis with children who have special needs. Your primary responsibility will be to support their educational and personal development within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure holistic support for each child.
  • Help with classroom activities and ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special needs is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake free online training provided by the school.
