SEND Teaching Assistant

Start date: May 2025

Pay: £88.92 to £105.89 a day

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only).

We are representing a Primary school in the GL5 area that have a role for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Year 1 to start in May 2025. The school has an Ofsted rating of “Good” and are part of a trust. They have a great ethos that provides children with the best possible environment to learn and achieve. This coupled with fantastic facilities and beautiful grounds make this role one you will not want to miss.

You’ll be matched to young people based on your experience and will mostly be working 1:1 with this pupil throughout your placement. These SEND students at the school already has an Education Health Care Plan in place. The placement is initially temporary but has the potential to be permanent if the school think you are a good match for them.

• Competitive pay rates from £88.92 to £105.89 a day.
• You’ll be matched to students & you’ll work with them on a 1:1 basis.

• Working with pupils that have various special educational needs and/or social, emotional & mental health needs.

What are we looking for?

• At least a year’s experience of working with children who have SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Understanding of & commitment to safeguarding.
• Full time consistent availability.
