Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEND)? Do you want to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?

A Doncaster (DN7) based Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils who have Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing environment. The role will run until Easter at least and will start immediately. Having previous experience working in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two and also working with non verbal pupils would be highly desirable. The Headteacher is looking to appoint asap.

Your Role:

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and Headteacher to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to pupils with EHCPs, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist pupils with a range of needs including physical, behavioural, medical, and emotional.
  • Support learning activities both in the classroom and on educational visits.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

  • Experience working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
