Media Teacher Vacancy – Starting September 2025

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of media enthusiasts? A vibrant secondary school in Southam is seeking a dedicated Media Teacher to join their team from September 2025, focusing on Key Stage 5 students.

About the Role:
As a Key Stage 5 Media Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students studying media at A-level. You will develop and deliver a curriculum that encourages critical analysis, creative production, and an understanding of contemporary media practices. Your role will involve supporting students in developing their coursework and exam skills, fostering independent learning, and preparing them for higher education or careers in media-related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge A-level media students.
• Design and implement stimulating schemes of work aligned with curriculum standards and exam specifications.
• Support students with coursework planning, development, and assessment.
• Prepare students for final examinations, ensuring they understand key concepts and skills.
• Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent thought.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
• Stay informed about current media trends and industry developments to enrich lessons.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing media-related careers or university pathways.
• Support and supervise extracurricular media projects, clubs, or competitions.

Ideal Candidate:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching media studies at A-level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary media, digital tools, and exam requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Enthusiastic about fostering students’ creativity, critical thinking, and academic success.
