Are you a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting pupils with SEN and managing behaviour? Monarch Education are seeking a passionate professional to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester (M40) for a full academic year starting in September 2025.

About the Role:

This full-time Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to work closely with children with Special Educational Needs and challenging behaviour, delivering tailored support to help them thrive academically and socially. You will be an integral part of an inclusive team, helping create a positive and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting children with SEN, implementing individual support plans and assisting with personal care as needed
• Managing behaviours effectively using proactive strategies
• Assisting in delivering tailored interventions and classroom activities
• Monitoring and recording pupils’ progress and sharing observations with teachers and SENCOs
• Promoting positive behaviour, social skills and independence
• Supporting emotional well-being and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
• Collaborating with teachers, external professionals and parents to ensure consistent support

About You:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience supporting children with SEN and managing challenging behaviour in a primary setting.
• Understanding of SEN frameworks, behaviour management techniques and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication, patience, resilience and a proactive approach.
• Compassionate, adaptable, energetic and committed to making a positive difference.
