Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 (SEND Support)

Monarch Education is working with a welcoming Primary School in Sparkhill to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Key Stage 2. This role is available for an immediate start.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide dedicated and targeted support to pupils with SEND in KS2, helping them access the curriculum and thrive within an inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support that promotes engagement, progress, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer specialist support to pupils with SEND across Key Stage 2
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement effective, inclusive strategies
• Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Support pupil progress through observations, feedback, and ongoing assessments

Requirements:

• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in Key Stage 2 within a UK school setting
• Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• A proactive, calm, and professional approach to supporting children with diverse needs
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to pupil welfare
