Y3 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Acocks Green

Monarch Education are currently looking for an experienced TA to work in an Ofsted Outstanding Primary School in the Acocks Green area of Birmingham. The school are looking for a Y3 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start in January until at least Christmas. This role will involve working with a young boy in Y3 who has Autism and Demand Avoidance. You must be confident managing challenging behaviour to be considered for this role and able to diffuse any behaviour outbursts in a professional and calm manner.

Requirements of applicant:

  • You Must have experience with challenging behaviour for this role
  • Experienced supporting children with SEND – especially Autism and Behaviour Difficulties
  • Confident and experienced individual who is able to assess situations before acting on them
  • Ideally you would hold a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Education for this role, however this is not essential

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provided 1:1 support to a Y3 pupil with SEND needs
  • Tailor support methods to the individual needs of the pupil
  • Ensuring the highest possible level of support is available to the pupil at all times
  • Feedback to parents and SLT on area’s of improvement and achievements
  • Must always make sure that all pupils are in a safe learning environment

Salary: £62.66 – £100 per day (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
