Monarch Education is partnering with a voluntary-aided Christian faith Primary School in Digbeth to recruit a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher. This is a full-time, responsibility-based role within a vibrant and inclusive school community, with students from diverse backgrounds. The school is committed to shared values of mutual respect, creating a nurturing environment for both staff and students to thrive.
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, creating an engaging classroom environment, and ensuring that each child in your care reaches their full potential. The position is full-time, and the role will continue until the end of the academic year, starting after the Easter holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the Year 1 curriculum, ensuring all students meet their academic targets and learning objectives.
Create a positive, inspiring classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for all learners.
Effectively manage classroom behaviour, fostering a respectful and focused learning atmosphere.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and child-centred approach to education.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Engage in school activities and events, contributing to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – this is essential.
A comprehensive understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and proven experience of delivering outstanding teaching practice.
The ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly in a dynamic school environment.
A genuine passion for securing the best outcomes for children and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive, positive approach to teaching, with enthusiasm for fostering a love of learning.
Excellent behaviour management skills, ensuring a productive and harmonious classroom.
