Year 6 Teacher

Year 6 Teacher – Edgbaston

Are you looking for a new role in September 2024? Are you maybe thinking about furthering your experience across Key Stage 2? Monarch Education are currently working with a Primary School in the Edgbaston area to find an experienced and energetic Year 6 Teacher. This role will be full time until the end of the academic year 2025 for the right person. You will have to plan lessons alongside your Year group partner. The school have also said they will be willing to accept ECT’s for this role.

Requirements of applicant:

• You Must have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) to be considered for this role
• Outstanding knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• At least 5+ years of experience teaching children across Key Stage 2
• Ideally you would have had a previous leadership role but this is not essential

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively plan lessons based on the academic needs of each child in your class
• Meet regularly with parents to ensure there is no divide between school and home
• Feedback regularly to pupils to ensure they have the best understanding and confidence in their learning
• Prepare pupils for upcoming exams by planning mock exams and regular learning activities outside of the classroom
• Provided individualised instructions to each pupil by promoting interactive learning
• Encourage pupil participation to ensure all pupils are engaged in their learning

Salary: You will be paid to scale for this role (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
