Experienced Behaviour Mentor wanted for Bristol Primary School

Monarch Education are currently working on the behalf of a Primary School in Redcliffe who are looking to recruit positive behaviour mentors to support students with their education and to increase their attendance.

The right candidate will be working in the school, supporting behaviourally challenging students to engage in mainstream education. You will be actively encouraging participation and attendance in school, working 1:1 and in small groups to instil subject confidence & self-esteem and supporting students with across their classes. You will need to work flexibly with students; being empathetic to their requirements and setting clear expectations from the start.

The school places a great emphasis on the ability to work as part of a team and being adaptable to the ethos of the school. The Leadership Team have high aspirations and they offer an extremely positive working environment and a passion for instilling a sense of self-belief in all their pupils and staff.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have recent relevant experience supporting young people that are disengaged from education. We welcome application from applicants that have experience from a variety of backgrounds such as youth work, PRU residential care or a similar post in another school. It is imperative that you have a passion for working with vulnerable pupils from diverse backgrounds. You should be experienced supporting challenging behaviours, being aware of the reward that this work can bring.

Location: Redcliffe, Bristol- Parking Available.
