We are seeking a qualified teacher to teach Music at a secondary school in Wiltshire from September 2019. This Music teacher position is a 0.6 part-time role and is expected to last until the end of October. The Music teacher role is expected to last for two months and is to cover the end part of a maternity cover. You will be teaching Music classes across all Key Stages including A Level. The school welcomes applicants from both more experienced and newly qualified Music teachers.
The school is a mixed secondary school and sixth form catering for just over 1000 pupils and it gained Academy status in 2012. As a Music Teacher you will be working in a well-established Arts Faculty which has a good uptake of Music within the school. You will be required to prepare lessons and mark as well as attend Parent’s evenings if applicable. The school run a very strong NQT programme and many NQTs have progressed onto leadership roles quickly within school.
To be considered for this role you must:
* Hold QTS status
* Have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the Music curriculum across Key Stage’s 3, 4 and 5 is advantageous
* Have the ability to work collaboratively within a well-established and driven department
We have a long-lasting partnership with this all secondary school having placed a large number of staff into long-term and permanent positions. In their recent Ofsted inspection they gained ‘Good’ in every category and aspire to be outstanding in the near future.
