Job Title: Level 3 SEND Nursery Nurse

Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Monarch Education is currently seeking a Level 3 SEND Nursery Nurse to join a nursery school in the Northfield area of Birmingham. This part-time position is to cover maternity leave, starting ASAP, and will be based within the SEND Inclusion setting. The role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and Early Years Education, particularly in supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Support children in the 2-3-year-old room through a range of carefully planned learning activities.
Adapt support methods to meet the individual needs of children, ensuring a personalised and inclusive approach.
Provide personal care to children, including assisting with personal hygiene, ensuring all children maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Encourage social development during lesson times, break times, and in informal settings, promoting positive interactions among children.
Work outdoors with children in their forest school, encouraging exploration and outdoor learning.
Monitor and update children’s diaries, providing regular feedback to parents on their progress and development.
Ensure that all children feel safe, supported, and valued at all times, upholding high standards of safeguarding and welfare.
Requirements:
Level 3 Qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
Sound knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum.
Experience supporting children with SEND needs in an Early Years setting.
Confident working with children of all abilities, particularly in a SEND context.
A calm and caring nature, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each child.
A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs.
