SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton Coldfield

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive special primary school in Birmingham. The school supports pupils aged 3-11 with a range of complex learning needs, offering a tailored curriculum with a strong emphasis on communication, independence, and personal development.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and therapists to provide individualised support to pupils, either one-to-one or in small groups. Your role will be vital in helping to deliver personalised learning plans, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a calm and supportive classroom environment.
Supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including those with autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities
Assisting with classroom tasks, sensory sessions, and the development of essential life skills
Encouraging pupil independence and promoting social interaction
Collaborating with parents, school staff, and external professionals to support each child’s progress
