SEMH Mentor required at a specialist SEMH school in North Somerset from September 2024, with the potential to start earlier if desired. This is a permanent position and can be up to 35 hours per week. Due to the expansion of this school there are multiple SEMH Mentor opportunities to work with KS2, KS3 or KS4 students. The Salary is £23,846 – £26,108 (actual starting salary based on 35 hours per week term time only + INSET: £19,315).

The school caters for SEMH students from Years 5 to 11, with the main school site for KS2 and KS3 students based in Nailsea, North Somerset and the KS4 students based on a Weston site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the education, personal and social progression of designated students under the direction of colleagues
  • Plan and implement learning activities and teaching programs as agreed with the teacher and adjust according to student response
  • Adopt relevant techniques and strategies to enable students to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential
  • Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well being

The ideal Mentor will be enthusiastic, resilient, highly motivated and passionate about inclusive education.
