Cover Supervisor

Monarch Education is currently working with a school in Salford that is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor to join its team!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuity and consistency in students’ learning by overseeing classes when the regular teacher is absent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with UK classroom experience to broaden their skillset further and make a difference in the lives of young people by helping them succeed in their studies.

Location: Salford, on-site

Hours of work: 8:15 to 14:30 each day

Job type: Temporary to permanent

The school is seeking an individual with relevant UK classroom-based experience working with children and young people. This role would suit someone who is working towards their PGCE or looking to increase and broaden their existing experience.

The successful candidate must:

• Have UK-based experience working with children and young people in a classroom setting
• A full enhanced DBS will be required, Monarch Education are able to support in this if you do not already have one in place.
• Must be confident managing classroom behaviour – you must have a strong presence in the classroom and follow the school behaviour policy to ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
• Advanced understanding of national curriculum and other basic learning programmes/techniques – training can be provided on this through our Affinity Academy
• Possess excellent communication skills and the confidence to keep students motivated and focused so they can work on the activities set for them.
