Cover Supervisor

Are you passionate about supporting young people and looking for a flexible role in education? We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across the Ashton-Under-Lyne area.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher.
• Follow provided lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Provide support to students, helping them with their learning.
• Assist with break and lunch duties when required.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience working in a secondary school setting, or those looking to build their classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting or sports setting (sports coaching experience is highly desirable).
• A passion for education and helping students achieve their potential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
• Ability to work flexibly, both on a short-term and long-term basis.
