Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Northfield in search for an enthusiastic and hardworking Cover Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing classes during the short term’s absence of teachers, ensuring a productive learning environment for students aged 11-16. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience and make a positive impact on young people’s education.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Confidently deliver pre-prepared lessons to students for across all subjects.
  • Supervise students in the absence of regular teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure safe and inclusive learning.
  • Liaise with teaching staff regarding student’s progress and behaviour following the lesson.
  • Providing great communication and interpersonal skills to help engage students

Qualifications/ Person Specifications:

  • Bachelors degree in any subject
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an education setting
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
