Monarch Education are working with a great secondary school based in CV7 in search of a Religious Studies teacher to join their humanities department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and foster a deeper understanding of religious, ethical and philosophical issues. This post is a full-time position starting November 2024!

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned high-quality religious studies lessons to KS3 & KS4
  • Manage behaviour within the classroom
  • Create a positive environment that students can learn and participate
  • Provide support and guidance to aid in the development of students
  • Support students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through the curriculum

Qualifications:

  • A degree in religious studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience teaching in a secondary level
  • Excellent communication and class management skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
  • Hold a DBS who is registered online with the DBS update service or be willing to apply for one
