Monarch Education are working with a Secondary School in Kettering who are looking for a full-time Food Technology Teacher to start in January 2025. This role will be long-term, until the end of the academic year.

The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to deliver engaging teaching, learning, and assessment to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of practical and theoretical lessons, inspiring students to develop their skills and knowledge in Food Technology.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure that students make good progress
  • Designing and implementing engaging lessons that promote creativity and practical skills in Food Technology
  • Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback to support development
  • Being accountable for students’ attainment, progress, and outcomes – setting realistic, measurable targets
  • Supporting students to develop their independent learning and problem-solving skills
  • Setting clear learning objectives for each lesson and monitoring progress over time
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative school environment

The school welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced teachers. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but the school will consider applications from unqualified teachers who have experience in teaching Food Technology and possess relevant subject knowledge and skills.
