About the role: Our client, a well-respected academy prides itself on its safe and supportive environment, providing students with a high-quality education, are looking for a positive and focused HR Administrator experienced in a school environment, however, applicants with strong administration experience in a similar sector will also be considered given the drive and enthusiasm to learn new skills. This position will be full time with expected hours of work to be between 08:00-16:00 on weekdays.

We are on the lookout for a skilled individual to provide top-notch business support, the ideal candidate will provide a solid backbone to the organisation working closely with the Business manager and other key staff looking after all financial and personnel aspects. Your role will be to ensure that the administration operations within the school runs smoothly at all times, working within your team to manage business administration functions of the school, including payroll, finance, HR and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with finances including creating timely invoices and managing any unpaid invoices within the sales ledger.
  • In addition, must ensure payments are processed on time for the purchase ledger.
  • Confidently manage the finance system for the recording of all financial information, processing the billing, processing reconciliations and facilitating budget tracking.
  • Liaising with the finance director in producing financial reports and with supporting client relationships with finance related processes.
  • Managing the recruitment process including job advertising, being a point of contact for candidates and completing any administrative recruitment tasks.
  • Working with the Business Manager to ensure policies and procedures documentation is up to date.
  • Administering staff absences and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within finance and HR administration position working for businesses of medium size nature.
  • AAT Level 2 qualification or similar.
  • Experienced in the handling of sensitive personal data, to be committed to following careful procedures.
  • Having excellent organisational skills and able to structure processes and set up efficient systems to support the clients continued growth plans.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft products, particularly Excel, alongside advanced numerical skills.
  • Must be able to work well both independently as well as part of a small team. Key interpersonal skills required to collaborate well with colleagues.
