Secondary Teacher, Abingdon

We are actively recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled Secondary Teacher with UK recognised QTS based in Abingdon.

An extremely welcoming and inclusive secondary school are looking for a full time teacher to join their school in January 2026. The school will be able to offer full time supply work, covering a variety of pre-planned lessons. As a newly appointed teacher you will be fully supported by the cover manager; who will provide you with a daily timetable, lesson plans, the behaviour management policy and a network of support staff.

Daily rate of pay will start at £145 and can increase to £232.57 , for more experienced teachers with UK recognised Qualified Teaching Status.

UK qualified teacher status (QTS) is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Teaching a variety of lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Creating a positive environment and managing behaviour within the classroom
  • Providing leadership for the classroom assistant to provide the best support for all pupils

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status recognised in the UK
  • Full time availability
  • Experience teaching within UK based schools
