  • Severe learning difficulties (SLD)
  • Communication and sensory processing needs

The school is known for its exceptional multi‑disciplinary approach, working alongside physiotherapists, medical teams, speech and language therapists, and mobility specialists to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupil.

We are now seeking caring, committed and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on helping children overcome barriers, develop independence and experience success every day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex physical, sensory and medical needs, following individualised plans
  • Assist with physiotherapy, mobility programmes and sensory-led learning (training provided)
  • Support pupils with personal care, including feeding, toileting and hygiene routines
  • Use assistive communication tools such as AAC, visual supports, eye‑gaze, switches or communication boards
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and medical staff to deliver holistic support
  • Help create an engaging, safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide 1:1 or group support tailored to pupils’ learning, wellbeing and physical needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults in any care, SEN, healthcare or educational setting
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • A positive, patient and nurturing approach
  • Ability to remain calm and confident when supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of PMLD, SLD, physical disabilities, hoisting, or M&H (desirable but not essential)
