Supply Science Teacher – Secondary School | March 2026 Start
Location: South Bristol
Contract: Full‑time Supply (Monday-Friday)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
Are you an enthusiastic Science teacher seeking a flexible role that fits around your lifestyle? We are looking for committed and versatile Supply Science Teachers to support secondary schools across South Bristol. While there is regular demand for specialists in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, we also welcome teachers from related fields who can deliver confident and engaging cover when required. Supply teaching offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy a healthier work-life balance, experience a variety of school environments, and continue developing your teaching practice-without the additional pressures that come with a permanent role. Many supply placements also lead to long-term or permanent positions, giving you both freedom and clear pathways for career progression.
This South Bristol school provides a supportive, aspirational, and community‑focused environment where every young person is encouraged to reach their full potential. Students are motivated to explore scientific ideas, develop curiosity, and build confidence in both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. With well-equipped learning spaces, a structured and engaging Science curriculum, and strong pastoral support, learners are supported to grow academically, socially, and personally. The school promotes a culture rooted in inclusion, respect, and ambition, ensuring pupils feel valued, recognised, and inspired. Alongside classroom learning, a broad range of enrichment clubs, STEM initiatives, and community activities help students build resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging.
Why This School?
