Monarch Education is recruiting a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a special needs school located in the Nottingham area. The role involves working as part of a staff team to support learners with a range of needs, helping them to access learning and develop key skills.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND in line with individual plans
  • Assist with class activities and curriculum participation
  • Record progress and share relevant information with staff
  • Support communication, engagement and behaviour needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and external professionals
  • Contribute to maintaining a structured and safe learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Understanding of SEND support strategies
  • Ability to follow plans, policies and staff guidance
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to supporting the school’s aims and values
