Rate: £15 – £17 per hour

Monarch Education is recruiting reliable and detail‑oriented Exam Invigilators to support schools in the Bicester area. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, rewarding work within an educational environment. Full training will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary.

About the Role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure the smooth, secure, and fair running of examinations. You’ll work closely with school staff to uphold exam regulations and create a calm and supportive testing environment.

Available Hours

Shifts can vary depending on exam schedules and may include:

  • 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Flexibility is appreciated, as exam times can differ across schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising students during examinations to ensure correct conduct
  • Preparing the exam room and equipment before students arrive
  • Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials
  • Ensuring all procedures follow JCQ exam regulations
  • Assisting students with queries in a neutral, non-guiding manner
  • Monitoring for malpractice or disruptions and reporting concerns
  • Escorting students when required
  • Completing session paperwork and maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

  • Two employment references covering the last 2 years
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Monarch Education
  • Good communication skills and strong organisational abilities
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
  • Ability to stay focused and maintain a calm atmosphere
