School Administrator – Swadlincote

Hours: 11:30-16:30, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.85-£15.40 per hour
Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting a reliable and organised School Administrator to join a school in Swadlincote. This is a long-term position working daily from 11:30am to 4:30pm, with an excellent chance for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an educational environment and thrives in a busy office setting. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school, providing administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the school office
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating school systems
  • Supporting attendance processes where required
  • Assisting with general office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry
  • Providing friendly and professional communication with parents, staff, and external agencies
  • Ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding procedures are always maintained

We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
  • A friendly, professional, and approachable manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy school environment
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of children
