Monarch Education is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Solihull. The school requires a HLTA who has proven experience covering whole classes in the absence of a teacher.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes when the teacher is absent
- Support teaching and learning across year groups
- Work alongside teachers to prepare resources and assist with pupil support
- Provide targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
- Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
- Maintain clear records of pupil engagement and progress when covering lessons
Essential Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience covering classes without a teacher present
- Strong understanding of primary curriculum expectations
- Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment
