Resource Base Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: B45 Area
Start Date: Septemeber (Interviewing after Easter Half Term)
Contract: Full-time (5 days per week)
Rate: £100 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is working with an inclusive, nurturing primary school in the B45 area to recruit experienced Resource Base Teaching Assistants. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including those with significant SEND profiles, within a specialist provision attached to the school.

The provision is supported by a strong leadership team, including a dedicated SENCo, and places great value on supporting children with diverse needs through structured routines, targeted interventions and personalised learning.
This role involves 1:1 and small‑group work, supporting communication, regulation, routines, and curriculum‑based learning within the resource base and, where appropriate, during integration into mainstream classes.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have strong, practical experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within a resource base or specialist setting.
- Be confident delivering structured 1:1 and small‑group interventions tailored to pupils with wide-ranging needs, including communication, social, emotional and sensory support.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent.
- Be calm, nurturing and adaptable, supporting children who require consistent routines, emotional regulation support, and differentiated learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo, and wider inclusion team to provide high-quality personalised support.
- Maintain a safe, structured, positive environment that reflects the school’s ethos of helping every child achieve and flourish regardless of their individual challenges.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a child-centred approach at all times.
