MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) – QTS

Location: Worcestershire (WR14)
Start Date: 1st June
Contract Type: Full‑time / Long‑term

Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed QTS MFL Teacher (French and Spanish) to join a secondary school based in WR14, starting 1st June. This is a full‑time, long‑term opportunity within a supportive and forward‑thinking Languages department, ideal for a passionate practitioner keen to make a positive impact this term and beyond.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and structured French and Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop confidence, fluency, and cultural understanding.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality French and Spanish lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate pupils
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, preparing pupils for GCSE where appropriate
  • Assess and monitor student progress through classwork, homework, assessments, and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to and follow schemes of work that support differentiation and stretch learners of all abilities
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and resilience
  • Use a range of teaching strategies, including digital tools and interactive activities, to enhance learning
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and wider school initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support academic and pastoral development
  • Engage in CPD and professional learning to continually develop subject knowledge and teaching practice

Skills and Qualifications

  • A relevant MFL degree (French, Spanish, or closely related subject)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and GCSE MFL requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate effectively for a range of learning needs
  • Confidence using technology and creative approaches to language teaching
