Monarch Education is working closely with a friendly and supportive primary school in Wombourne to recruit a dedicated Early Years Practitioner / EYFS Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and making a positive impact during the most important stage of a child’s education.

The Role

You will be supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher and wider Early Years team, you will play a key role in supporting learning through play, development, and exploration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS activities in line with the EYFS Framework
  • Promote children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
  • Observe, assess and contribute to tracking children’s progress
  • Support personal care routines where appropriate
  • Ensure safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Has experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
  • Demonstrates a warm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
