Rate: Main Pay Scale M1- UPS3
Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, are working in close partnership with a forward‑thinking and ambitious primary school seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Key Stage 2 Class Teacher from September 2026. This role also offers the potential opportunity to lead English or Mathematics for the right candidate.
The school has recently undergone a highly successful Ofsted inspection (January 2026), where it was judged ‘Strong’ in four areas, including Teaching & Curriculum and Leadership, reflecting its commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Holds a QTS qualification and a proven track record of recent work within a primary year group
- Advantage if you are or have been a maths or english lead
- Be an experienced and effective Key Stage 2 classroom practitioner with a strong track record of raising attainment
- Demonstrate consistently high‑quality teaching and learning across the KS2 curriculum
- Have secure knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and age‑related expectations
- Set high expectations for all pupils and be committed to ensuring strong progress regardless of background or need
- Be able to inspire, motivate and engage pupils to meet and exceed challenging targets
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning, adapt teaching and accurately track pupil progress
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging and well‑sequenced lessons that support deep learning
- Be reflective, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement in teaching practice
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills that promote positive attitudes to learning
- Create a stimulating, inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and able to thrive
- Be committed to inclusive practice and supporting pupils with diverse learning, behavioural or additional needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leaders as part of a team
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Be solution‑focused, resilient and able to respond positively to challenge and change
- Show enthusiasm for contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, events and trips
- Demonstrate leadership potential or experience, with the capacity to lead English or Mathematics for the right candidate
- Engage proactively with professional development, coaching and CPD opportunities
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children
- Bring energy, professionalism and a positive attitude to the school community
