Role Overview

We are recruiting General Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Bristol. You’ll supervise KS3 and KS4 classes during teacher absence, delivering pre-set work and maintaining established classroom routines.

This role suits candidates seeking school-based experience or ongoing supply work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons using provided materials
  * Maintain behaviour in line with school policies
  * Keep pupils focused and on task
  * Follow safeguarding procedures

Skills Required

• Classroom and behaviour management
  * Clear, assertive communication
  * Consistent boundary setting
  * Adaptability across subjects and year groups

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working with secondary-aged students
  * Degree-level education (desirable)
  * Safeguarding awareness
  * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
